今年46岁的胡效禹，是沧州市运河区人。他痴迷于军舰模型制作，既有祖辈的影响，也源于对军旅生涯的眷恋。
Hu Xiaoyu, 46 years old this year, is from Yunhe District, Cangzhou City. He is obsessed with making warship models, influenced by both his ancestors and his attachment to military career.
胡效禹的祖辈过去靠焊锡壶、补铁锅谋生。耳濡目染，胡效禹从小对铁皮焊接产生浓厚兴趣。
Hu Xiaoyu's ancestors used to make a living by soldering tin pots and repairing iron pots. Influenced by it, Hu Xiaoyu developed a strong interest in sheet metal welding from a young age.
1995年，胡效禹参军，成为一名海军战士。第一次看到停靠在码头的军舰时，他被眼前的庞然大物震撼。后来，他看到战友做模型，便萌生用铁皮制作军舰模型的想法。
In 1995, Hu Xiaoyu joined the army and became a naval soldier. When he first saw the warship docked at the dock, he was shocked by the huge object in front of him. Later, when he saw his comrades making models, he had the idea of using iron sheets to make warship models.
不知道军舰的尺寸，胡效禹查阅军事杂志、刊物，了解更多军舰知识。做了大量功课后，他画出立体图、平面图，再在铁皮上剪出一个个零件的图形，进行打磨、焊接。两个多月后，他成功“复制”出第一件军舰模型。
Without knowing the size of the warship, Hu Xiaoyu consulted military magazines and publications to learn more about warship knowledge. After doing a lot of homework, he drew three-dimensional and plan views, and then cut out the shapes of each part on the iron sheet for polishing and welding. More than two months later, he successfully 'replicated' the first warship model.
战友们纷纷夸赞胡效禹心灵手巧，这给了他很大的信心，也让他看到了铁皮焊接手艺更广阔的天地。1999年退役后，他依旧坚持利用业余时间制作军舰模型。导弹驱逐舰、猎潜艇……多年来，胡效禹以人民海军现役和退役军舰为原型，共制作了大大小小百余件军舰模型。

一件件军舰模型构造复杂，由成百上千个零件组装完成，其中最小的零件长度仅有几毫米。这些零件从一个个平面铁片“变”成立体造型，制作过程并不容易。在一次次尝试中，胡效禹将传统铁艺与铁皮焊接工艺进行完美融合。2015年，“铁皮焊接艺术”被沧州市列为第五批非物质文化遗产，胡效禹也成为“铁皮焊接艺术”代表性传承人。
The construction of warship models is complex, consisting of hundreds or thousands of parts assembled, with the smallest part being only a few millimeters in length. The process of transforming these parts from flat iron sheets into three-dimensional shapes is not easy. In each attempt, Hu Xiaoyu perfectly integrated traditional iron craftsmanship with iron sheet welding technology. In 2015, "Iron Welding Art" was listed as the fifth batch of intangible cultural heritage by Cangzhou City, and Hu Xiaoyu also became a representative inheritor of "Iron Welding Art".
比起“传承人”的身份，胡效禹更看重的是自己的另一个身份：国防教育宣讲员。从2013年开始，胡效禹带着制作的模型走进校园、社区开展国防教育宣讲。

“老师，您的军舰模型是怎么做出来的”“听了您的讲座，我想成为一名海军战士”……一次，胡效禹到学校上国防教育课，听着学生们争先恐后发言，胡效禹找到了自己制作军舰模型的意义所在，也希望通过自己的努力在青少年心中种下爱党爱国爱军的种子。

这几年，胡效禹先后受邀开展国防教育讲座30余场，听众达3000余人。他还捐赠军舰模型，帮助社区创建国防教育展室。截至目前，国防教育展室参观人数累计达12000余人次。
